Our Meetings
WASM convenes regularly in Perth, with the focus firmly on performing, sharing, and learning every aspect of our craft.
Monthly General Meeting
The Society meets on the second Tuesday of every month — doors from 6:30pm, start 7:00pm. Expect member performances, informal practice, and — on closed nights — instructional sessions for those developing new material.
Occasional meetings feature visiting magicians from interstate or overseas, sharing techniques rarely seen on a Perth stage.
Members Workshop Night
A second, more intimate gathering on the fourth Monday of the month, dedicated to hands-on workshopping — building routines, troubleshooting sleights, and rehearsing for the next performance night.
The "Bring a Muggle" Open Meeting
Once a year, the committee opens a meeting to non-magicians — members are encouraged to bring along a friend or family member with no magic background for a short showcase of 5–15 minute performances. It's the easiest way to see what WASM is about before you ever think about auditioning.

For many years WASM met at the Osborne Park Hotel, 216 Main Street, Osborne Park — with a brief trial season at The Blue Room Theatre in the Perth Cultural Centre before settling into our current home.
Magicians of Every Stripe
Amateur or professional, local or visiting — if magic is an art you take seriously, you are welcome to attend as our guest. First-time visitors are always encouraged to reach out before their first meeting.
